Is a province in Central Luzon that is known for its famous sweet mangoes and Island getaways. It is a good place to run away from stress. Nagsasa Cove is one of the famous Islands of Zambales. It is a good place for a barkada getaway to do some extraordinary stuff, such as; swim at the beautiful beach, trek, and cliff diving, chilling and relaxing at night with a bonfire.
Nagsasa Cove
Nagsasa Cove is currently the most visited Island in Zambales. Compare to other Islands, there is what they called the Anawangin Cove. The two (2) islands have distinct characteristics but the Anawangin cove is more crowded. Based on our experience on the 25th day of April 2016 at 5 o’clock in the morning, we just ride a Victory Liner bus in Monumento, Caloocan City bound to San Antonio, and arrived at around 10-10:30 AM. A Thirty to Forty-Five minutes tricycle ride to Pundaquit Beach. From there, a one and a half hour speedboat ride bound directly to Nagsasa Cove. The travel was nice from the bus ride down to the boat ride, we’ve seen a lot of islands and cliffs scenery before we drop off to our most awaited beach of Nagsasa.
Pundaquit Beach
The very First thing we do is secure our cottage, though there are plenty of cottages around. The cottage near the shoreline is our choice, because of its relaxing view and calming breeze of the wind. We start assembling our tents. This is one of the most awaited part. Then, we start preparing our main course for our lunch. Teamwork is the key. Everyone has their own respective responsibilities. The boys are responsible in assembling the tents while the girls is in charge in preparing the food. The time passes by so quick that we didn’t notice that the food is ready and the tents were successfully assembled. Finally, The food is ready. Grilled Porkchops, Grilled Hotdogs, and unlimited rice. “A finger licking good“ lunch and a “Pass muna diet” for each and everyone. We start the lunch with a prayer and chow! Let the war begin! Everyone aggressively attack on the food with their own plates in hands. Since we are camping, we use our bare hands to eat. Everyone is busy eating. The moment suddenly becomes quiet as usual. No talking, no moving. No moving? Nah, just kidding. The lunch was excellent. We ended up full and satisfied. There are foods that is left behind, we just saved it for later. We clean up the mess we made after lunch. The boys fetch water that will be use in washing the serving utensils and the containers we used. Others clean the table. Some picked up the litters. Teamwork is there again. Then finally the area is clean. Everyone is all set.

This is the good time to jam Guitar? checked. Singer? Checked. Good Weather? checked. Let the jam begin. The sound of guitar and the soothing voice of my friend, perfectly match the mood. While others are busy singin, me and my other colleauges talked about our future in the corporate world. What are we in 10 years from now and so on.
At around 4 Pm, one of my friend suggest for a swim. Challenge accepted. All of us ran as quickly as we could to the beach. While swimming, one of my friend challenge everyone to climb the mountain near the beach. Just a few walks away. Probably a 51 step walk away. Not sure. Without hesitating, we accepted the challenge. We swim back to the shoreline and take a walk to the the base of the mountain. All of us are wet and walk on our bare feet. As we go on, the rocks gradually becomes steeper to climb. The rain start to pour that eventually cause the soil to be be slippery that can be dangerous for us. Sadly, We find it difficult to continue the hike. We are in our halfway to the summit. But, for the safety of everyone, we just stop and take a groupie with the astonishing view of nagsasa from above. Then, we start to go down the mountain as the rain starts to pour heavily. The adrenaline rush is there. We must go down the mountain before the rain becomes heavy. The boys take good care of the girls going down and there we go, we land safe and wet. Since the rain is pouring, we just continue the swim on the beach. That was fun. Some go back to the cottage for them to take a bath, while some are still swimming.
It was 6 in the evening, everyone is ready to prepare the the food for the dinner. As usual, we cook some grilled porckchops and hotdogs. It was a fun although we find it difficult because there is no light in the area. So we just use our phone to serve as the light. Good thing I have some tough power bank in my backpack. 20000 mah. Finally The food is ready with the help of everyone. As usual, we use our bare hands to eat and ended up full. The weather is good. We gather and lit our most awaited part of the night, the BONFIRE. But we don't have enough budget so we use our phone instead.
We almost talked about the lives of each and everyone, all the fun moments during our college days. Good thing that we have a time to spend the night together. It was such an unforgettable moment of our lives.
