Makati Coffee Crawl

Some like it hot, some like it iced; Some like it strong, while some like it mild. Still, regardless of your coffee preferences, we got you covered!
In a bustling metropolis just like Makati City, it's not surprising at all why there's a population that is in great need of coffee. Aside from being a great drink (‘cause it has a variety to choose from), it gives out a kicking energy that is sure enough make you energetic all throughout the day!

But for some people, cafés are more than just a cup of coffee. It’s a place where they can chill out, have a chat with friends, do some work if they feel like their office is a bit stressful, or simply a nice place to take some instagrammable shots.

COFFEE PROJECT

Must Taste: Vietnamese Latte, Ca Phe Sua Da, Green Matcha Frappe 

The Coffee Project had always been well-loved for their coffee, and even more so for their inviting ambiance that’s just outright perfect.
Looking from the outside, you might think that this place is just a typical coffee shop, but it's not! As soon as you step inside, their garden-like interiors will automatically draw you. Everywhere you lay your eyes on there are vibrant flowers, poppy chandeliers, walls with inspirational quotes, and nooks with bloom making it hard to resist not taking pictures!
Overwhelmed by its interiors, you can easily see why it's called "Most Instagrammable Cafe in Manila". Plus, it's open until midnight, perfect for some late night coffee runs isn't?

ZOO COFFEE

There's nothing more comforting than sipping a great coffee while petting an animal! Well on this case, it's with life-sized toy animals.
Zoo Coffee is a  popular coffee chain in Korea that is now roaring over the Philippine coffee scene. This themed coffee shop will make you feel like you're in an animal sanctuary with all the scattered stuffed toy animals around the place. 
There's a giraffe that'll welcome you in the entrance, monkeys and snakes swinging on a tree, pandas sitting right next to you, and tigers lazily lounging around.  As for their menu, fill your appetite with a Banana Chocolate Waffle or cool yourself with a tasty bingsu – a Korean shaved ice dessert.
Staying true to its theme, this cafe provides guests with a fun experience from its wild interiors down to its mouthwatering menu.

TIM HORTON’S

Just how should a great coffee taste? Let Tim Hortons answer that for you! This Canadian coffee shop icon has been attracting both coffee lovers and on-the-go yuppies with their signature coffee blends and amazing menu selection since 1964. And now that they took over the metro, having your much-needed caffeine fix has now become easier!
Let us give you an idea of what you should get. First, are the Timbits which is their own munchkin version of that of Dunkin Donuts then pair it with an Iced Capp, an ice-blended coffee drink that is sure to keep you cool from the tropical heat.

ANTIPODEAN CAFÉ

Tackle everyday hassles with a cup of Flat White at Antipodean Cafe!
Hailed from New Zealand and Australia, this recently opened cafe caters to both local and foreign patrons who are all in need of a good caffeine fix in the middle of the bustling Metro. What to love about them is that they roast their own coffee in-house and they use Merdeka Coffee which is from Indonesia.  Some of their best sellers are the Flat White, Cappucino, and Latte. They also have a special coffee-based drink that is a combination of lemon, mint, and coffee called Savasana Coffee.

Apart from its striking interiors, another thing to love about this place is their extensive menu which includes pizzas and pasta!

TOBY’S ESTATE

Must Taste: Espresso, Macchiato, Cortado, Cappuccino, Piccolo, Mocha, Long Black, Gibraltar

Coffee has always brought people together, may it be catching up with old friends, meeting for the first time, or doing business together which is why finding a cafe that'll make you feel comfortable and chill at the same time is absolutely perfect! Luckily, one dreamy coffee shop is just around the corner!
One of the few third wave coffee shops in the country every caffeine addicts must visit is Toby's Estate, a specialty coffee chain that originated from Australia known for sourcing their beans from the owner’s estate in Panama. While some of its branches serve only express, this one tucked in Salcedo Village is a perfect spot for hanging out. The whole place is very much vibrant due to its white walls perfectly in contrast with reclaimed wood furniture.

They don’t just brew, they also assure that you'll have a quality time with its warm, homey, and work-friendly vibes.
As a certified coffee lover, there’s more to just finding a café that offers the best-tasting coffee. Some look for the food served, location-wise, ambiance, and millennial as it may sound the ‘Instagram-worthy’ interiors.  Just look through Makati’s towering skyscrapers and busy streets, you'll eventually find yourself into somewhere interesting.
