Siargao Food Crawl

Siargao is both a breather for the soul and perfect for all types of adventure-junkies. But that's not all; this place is also a haven for all those in the pursuit of a one-of-a-kind food crawl experience!
Whether you're tired from surfing or just recently came onshore after a long day of exploring lagoons and coves, this little teardrop-shaped island down south boasts a number of local restaurants and bars that'll surely pump up every hungry wanderer inside you.
So, if you're planning to stay in this paradise for a few days or like, forever...then make sure to check out our list below! In here, we've curated all the best places on the island that has refreshing interiors and serve exceptional meals. What’s more, each of these restaurants and bars provide a mouth-watering feast that'll tickle your taste buds without hurting your wallet!

MAMA’S GRILL

Dapa-Union-General Luna Road, Catangnan
Type:  Filipino | A la Carte
Hours: 11 AM-3PM & 6 PM-10 PM Tuesday to Saturday | 5 PM-10 PM Sunday | 1130 AM-3PM & 6 PM-10 PM Tuesday
Must Taste: Grilled chicken breast and legs, Grilled pork, Meat kebab, Tuna fillet

If eating like a local is your goal, then head to Mama's Grill!
Every day, this locally owned and family operated restaurant is jam-packed with tourists patiently waiting for their meals to be grilled to perfection. 
The whole area is an open-air hut with tables that can accommodate up to a hundred people. At the side, you can see long smoking hot grilles filled with different inihaw/ roasted foods. Their menu features classic Filipino BBQs such as chicken legs, meat kebabs, tuna fillets, vegetable sticks, shrimp and squid barbecue, and many more!
To complete your meal, dip it in either sweet or spicy sauce together with a plate of hot rice and a cold local beer! Now that's what we call local meals at its finest!

As soon as you step inside Warung Siargao, take pleasure to the most authentic Thai experience you can have on the island!
They offer some staple classics such as Satay Ayam, Nasi Bungkus, and Laksa as well as irresistible desserts such as Pandan-Rolled Crepes and Kakak’s Kue Klepon!
Another thing to love in here is the ambiance itself! From the entrance, you'll be greeted with the aroma of spices that perfectly goes well with the whole restaurant's interior design and artworks. Some diners even compare their experiences like they were in Bali, Indonesia!

BUDDHA’S SURF RESORT AND RESTAURANT

Here's another Thai restaurant for you to love in Siargao!
At Buddha’s Surf Resort and Restaurant, you can taste all the flavors of Asia on one table thru dishes such as Pad Thai and Tom Yum Gai! They also serve Khao Pad, a plate of stir-fried rice with small chicken cuts and green sprigs. 
And since they are located along General Luna Tourism Road, they can easily be found because of its Nipa-hut-like structure and circular signage with a smiling Buddha. 

The whole rustic appeal of this place attracts tourist from morning 'till night making it a perfect place to munch simple yet hearty meals with your friends and family!

Must Taste: Special Carbonara, Tuna Sisig, Polpette di Zucca, Panzerotto


Got a sudden craving for Italian foods? Make sure to visit La Carinderia, a go-to place for every tourist that serves meals with an impressive fusion of Italian and Filipino cuisine.
Both locals and expats will fall in love with their meals such as Polpette di Zucca, a crunchy ball of pumpkins and Panzerrotto, an empanada-like traditional Italian street food. They also serve Filipino favorites like Tuna Sisig, a sizzling spicy marinated tuna together with fresh tomatoes and gingers. To complete your Italian food voyage, try out their special Carbonara!

Inspired by small local eateries in the country, La Carinderia is just a small open-air restaurant. Another interesting thing here is that its floor is covered with sands allowing you to dine barefoot!

It's not surprising at all if you have seen photos of Shaka's irresistible smoothies all over the internet! This all-day breakfast cafe is known for its smoothie bowls, coffee and tea, and lots of vegan delights that are creatively presented and will instantly give you kicking energy for your adventure-filled escapades on the island! 
This cafe is literally open-air and offers an unobstructed view of Cloud 9 boardwalk. And with its wide space, it can accommodate up to 60 guests. They even have swings where you can enjoy your meal while relaxing with the view!
Aside from their signature healthy meals, they also promote zero waste wherein they use Papaya stalks instead of plastic straws.

If you're looking for a great place to chill on a lazy afternoon, meet new friends, or jive into live music during the weekend, then head to Harana Surf Resort and Restaurant.
Located near one of Siargao’s most famous left-handed surf breaks, Tuason point, this modern surf resort is considered to be the island's premier Filipino fusion restaurant! Enjoy meals such as Sizzling Sisig, Crispy, Kangkong, Shawarma wraps and bowls, and Lechon Kawali. 
Another unmissable treat is their Halo-halo, a Filipino dessert served in a fresh coconut fruit!
Aside from their menu showcasing Filipino meals with a twist, it's the laidback and island vibes of this resto that attract most of the tourists. The whole area is adorned with native-inspired details giving out a relaxing atmosphere one will surely love.
