Not only that it ring bells to tourists who want to have a
dreamy tropical vacation, but also to everyone that is pushing for sustainable
tourism. Some had already seen the improved Boracay after months of being
closed but the government is still at its full effort to maintain its beauty.
Getting to
Boracay
Located on the northwest
tip of Panay Island, easily reach Boracay Island via Aklan’s 2 major airports. Flights
bound to Kalibo International Airport (KLO) may be cheaper, however; travel
time from here going to Boracay takes longer. After your flight, you have to
take an hour and 45 minutes drive going to Caticlan Jetty Port.
While on the other hand,
there is Godofredo P. Ramos Airport also known as Caticlan Airport. It may be
smaller than KLO but it's nearer to Boracay, which means lesser travel time! You
just have to take a 10 minutes drive going to Caticlan Jetty Port.
Then from Caticlan Jetty
Port, you need to take a 10-15 minutes ferry ride going to Cagban Port (Boracay
Island port of entry/exit) and an approximately 20 minutes drive going to your
accommodation.

motorized-water activities are still not allowed, you can still enjoy the others
such as Paraw sailing, Paddleboarding, Kayaking, and Kitesurfing.
PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR
Did you know that Boracay
– before its closure – was also dubbed as "The Island that never
sleeps"? Yes, you've read that right! This small island is also known to
be a party central. You could still rave 'till dawn and experience the best night
of your life with a cocktail and cheap local beer in hand, but be responsible
and know the dos & don’ts in Boracay!
Pub crawl, for example,
lets you meet cool people from all around the world and play hip games! In just
one night, you'll wake up in the morning with new friends and unforgettable
memories!

preference and budget are, there is a room for you in Boracay. Along the 4km
White Beach are numerous accommodations offering a scenic view of the sea which
is divided into 3 parts called Station 1, 2, and 3.
If you're on a tight
budget you can stay at station 3. If you wish to be near D'Mall and other
leisure establishments then look for hotels in Station 2, but if you prefer to splurge
a little and experience luxury stay, then stay at Station 1 where most world-class
and high-end accommodation can be found.
INCOMPARABLE WHITE BEACH AND CLASSIC
SUNSETS
This little island's main
attraction is its 4km long stretch of white beach with the finest sand you'll
ever touch. Some even describe it as powder-like. Make sure to free your time
in the afternoon, lounge by the beach, and marvel at the sun's golden glow as
it sets. Each sunset is unique than the other but all picture-perfect!
As a paradise itself, there
are lots of things to love in here that’s why it’s not hard to see why it’s
always part of every tourists’ itinerary. Its natural beauty captured the
attention of the whole world even until now.
