Boracay Island Tourist's Guide, Reminder, and List of Accredited Hotels effective October 01, 2020

After months of being stuck, working, and getting bored at home, we know some of you are excited to go out and breathe in some fresh air! Good thing, some Philippine destinations are now re-opening but of course they also implement strict safety measures so that tourists can enjoy the destinations safely.

Starting today, October 01, 2020, Boracay Island is now finally re-opened and starts welcoming tourists from not just in Western Visayas Region but also those from General Community Quarantine (GCQ) areas. Planning a visit soon? Check out below Guide and Reminder released by the Department of Tourism for all Domestic tourists, including Aklanons, who intend to stay in Boracay Island at least one night:

 

GUIDE FOR TOURISTS

1. Access http://aklan.gov.ph or http://bit.ly/2QzbUkZ and click Online Health Declaration. Choose Boracay in the Where To page.
2. Fill out required fields and click submit.
3. Upon submission, a confirmation with instructions will be displayed.
4. Save a copy of the HDC (Health Declaration Certificate) on your smartphone, or if using computer, have it printed.
5. Attach a copy of the HDC together with a copy of RT-PCR Negative Result, a copy of confirmed booking slip/ form and proof of identification and send to touristboracay@gmail.com
6. Wait for the email response (successful or unsuccessful) of the Final Validator. Processing takes less than a day after receipt of complete documents.
7. If processing is successful, a copy of HDC with Tourist QR Code will be sent back.
8. If processing is unsuccessful, resubmission of requirements or clarification may be required.

 

REMINDER FOR TOURISTS

1. Email subject should be: OHDC-FamilyName, FirstName
2. Multiple tourist documents can be sent in one email. Just include a listing of the names of the tourist.
3. Ensure that you are getting your RT-PCR Tests in accredited laboratories here: (https://hfsrb.doh.gov.ph/?page_id=1729) and your hotel booking in DOT Accommodation Establishments with COA/ PCAO in the Facebook account of DOT VI Western Visayas (https://www.facebook.com/DOTR6WesternVisayas). Aklanons are not required RT-PCR Test Negative result.
4. Keep the Tourist QR Code with you at all times. Have a printed or digital copy. The QR Code will be used in accessing services in Boracay Island

As of September 26, 2020, below are the list of Accredited Accommodation/ Establishments that have been issued with a Certificate of Authority to Operate in Boracay Island. They are allowed to accept bookings and reservations.
